YMCA Youth Triathlon

The Y and Starion Bank are pleased to present its annual Youth Triathlon on Saturday, August 19th, beginning at 9:00am. Kids ages 6-16 will participate in a 50 yard swim, 2 mile bike and ½ mile run, in and around the Y. To help participants prepare for this fun, exciting, non-competitive event, the Y is offering free mini-camps, led by Certified USAT Coach and 5x Ironman Finisher, Arnie Strebe. These sessions will teach kids the basics of training for a triathlon. Workshops will be held on June 29th, July 13th, July 27th and August 10th, from 6:30-7:00pm. While there is no charge for these camps, pre-registration is required. Registration for the Youth Triathlon is now open at the Y or bismarckymca.org. The cost is $10 per participant.
