The Fantasticks

Dakota Stage Ltd. is proud to present The Fantasticks, a fun, fanciful musical about the magic of love! Conceived by a creative team of professional directors and designers, developed by advanced high school theatre students employing the crafts of voice, movement and character work and brought to life by a true collaboration of creativity and imagination, The Fantasticks will enchant and entertain with this classic love story set to beautiful music. The Fantasticks tells an allegorical story concerning two neighboring fathers who trick their children into falling in love by pretending to feud. The fathers hire traveling actors to stage a mock abduction of the girl so the boy can heroically save her, ending the family rift. When the children discover the deception they part ways, but mature, learn and grow to find one another again through the strength of their own young love. Dakota Stage Ltd. will hold its run of Shade Tree Player?s The Fantasticks on the main stage located at 412 E Main Ave. in Bismarck. Performances are at 7pm, Wednesday through Saturday, July 22 through 25, and 2pm, Sunday, July 26. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students, seniors and military and may be purchased in advance online at www.dakotastageltd.com or at the door on the day of the show.
