Conceived by a creative team of professional directors and designers, developed by advanced high school theatre students employing the crafts of voice, movement and character work and brought to life by a true collaboration of creativity and imagination, The Canterbury Tales will charm and challenge audiences with its universal and unmistakable history, humor and heart. Many believe that Chaucer’s literary masterpiece revolutionized English literature. Now you can revolutionize the enjoyment and excitement of this challenging work by tossing in a good helping of Monty Python-styled humor to create this incredibly silly yet educational comedy. No matter the method of telling these timeless tales, you’ll be amazed just how much history you’ll absorb enjoying this hysterical, screwball comedy. Dakota Stage Ltd. will hold its run of Shade Tree Player’s The Canterbury Tales on the main stage located at 412 E Main Ave. in Bismarck. Performances are at 7pm, Wednesday through Saturday, July 6 through 9, and 2pm, Sunday, July 10.
