Join us for a concert by Tuba Four in the outdoor amphitheater of the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck. Tuba Four is a brass quartet consisting of two euphoniums and two tubas, the two lowest-pitched brass instruments.The program will feature folk and patriotic songs, hymns, marches, and original compositions written for euphonium-tuba quartet. Tuba Four offers audiences a variety of musical styles from instruments often heard only in a supportive band or orchestra role. The ensemble consists of Marlin Peterson and Ryan Clark on the euphonium and Doug Smith and David Candy on the tuba. Those attending are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair, as seating will not be provided. Attendees are asked to follow the CDC's recommendations on social distancing and personal hygiene. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be cancelled. This concert is part of the State Historical Society of North Dakota's Sensational Sundays series. Sensational Sundays are free cultural programs that include a variety of lectures, concerts, movies, and tours.
