Sensational Sundays free program: “The Impact of World War I on German-American

The public is invited to a free program, “The Impact of World War I on German-Americans in North Dakota and the Midwest,” from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 9, at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck. The lecture and discussion will be conducted by Charles M. Barber, professor of history emeritus, Northeastern Illinois University, in observance of the anniversary year of the United States’ declaration of war on Imperial Germany on April 6, 1917. This program is part of the State Historical Society of North Dakota’s Sensational Sundays program. Sensational Sundays are free programs sponsored by the State Historical Society that include a variety of lectures, concerts, movies, and tours that provide engaging, educational, historic, and cultural information.
