Perspectives on the Legacy of World War I

With the First World War fading further into history, thousands of letters, diaries, interviews, and photos from the ND State Archives have the ability to bring these stories back to life. The North Dakota Voices from the Great War project has been giving a new voice and a new face to the generation of 1917-1919. University of Mary Research Grant Assistant Casey Beck has spent the last year finding and participating in new and interesting ways to bring these stories to a new generation. Casey Beck is a History student at the University of Mary, where he has been working as a Research Grant Assistant on the North Dakota Voices from the Great War project. Since February 2018, he has been researching, studying, and presenting on North Dakota in the First World War. Beck is originally from Mandan, ND. Sensational Sundays are free programs that include a variety of lectures, concerts, movies, and tours that provide engaging, educational, historic, and cultural information.
