Lunch and Learn: Developing a Worksite Wellness Program

“Worksite Wellness”…..Why do it and where to start?
“If I would have known I would live this long—I would have taken better care of myself.” George Burns

It is so confusing and difficult to know where to begin once you decide to take the steps to become healthier, (hopefully) wealthier and wiser. Implementing a comprehensive Worksite Wellness Program can be daunting. There are so many experts and opinions out there. But there are key reasons to consider implementing a program in your business organization:

  • Healthcare costs are an issue of significant concern for all businesses.
  • A healthy workforce is essential to America’s continued growth and prosperity.
  • Much of the illness in the United States is directly preventable.
  • The worksite is an ideal setting to address health and well-being.
  • That worksite Wellness Programs can transform corporate culture and change lives.

A new study confirms that doing something as simple as brisk walking can boost weight loss while trimming belly fat and overall body. Walking is the easiest way to maintain or regain your best body and life. Simple as it sounds, walking is practical, accessible and financially feasible to almost everyone. It costs nothing but time and effort!

During this presentation we will cover “The Seven Benchmarks” of a Results Oriented Workplace Wellness Program and talk about how to start a Walking Challenge in your organization.
