In January, the Chamber distributed a survey to gauge business performance in the Bismarck - Mandan area. We are looking forward to Tim Karsky, Bismarck Market President, presenting these results to the Chamber Members on Wednesday, April 2nd from 7:30am – 9:00am at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center.

Topics covered in the survey included 2013 performance, anticipated performance 2014, and reasons attributed for successes and challenges for our local businesses.

In addition to being the first to see the survey results, attendees will also hear a presentation from Dr. Slavisa Tasic from University of Mary. Dr. Tasic is the Associate Professor of Economics at University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. Previously he taught economics in Ukraine, Russia and in Lithuania, and worked as a consultant for government and international organizations.

Dr. Tasic has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Belgrade in Serbia – where he is from – and a PhD from the University of Turin in Italy.

Dr. Tasic has published a number of articles in international academic journals as well as a book on the world financial crisis. His areas of interest are monetary and international economics, economics of regulation, political economy and behavioral economics.
