Beefin' It Up;Fuel for The Finish 5K Run, 5K Walk, 10K Run, 1/2 Mile Kids Fun Ru

The North Dakota CattleWomen (NDCW) and its partners will showcase the heart-healthy benefits of beef during the 4th annual "Beefin' It Up; Fuel for the Finish" 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run on Oct. 3, 2015 in Mandan. Early bird registration of $30 for the 5K and 10K events and $15 for the kids run, is available until September 7. Prices increase Sept. 8. In addition to the competitively timed 5K run/walk and 10K run, this year's event also includes a kid?s half-mile run, scavenger hunt and free beef refueling meal for participants and their supporters after the race. A "Virtual" run is also available. It can be completed by participants at any time during race week from wherever they are. Racers who pre-register will also receive a commemorative dry-wicking, long-sleeved t-shirt. Shirts will be available for race-day registrants while supplies last. The Oct. 3 event will begin at The Post, south of Mandan and will wind through the Fort Lincoln State Park. It is open to everyone, from dedicated athletes to individuals who just want to get some heart-healthy exercise. This fundraiser has helped the NDCW purchase and distribute more than 1,000 educational books about beef and agriculture to elementary schools statewide.
